So, I have a motto I live by. I first started it when I was feeling low and needed some motivation. If you research wolf mottos or even look them up on Pinterest, you will come across things that say…
General wolf rules for life
1. Eat
2. Rest
3. Rove in between
4. Render loyalty
5. Love the children
6. Cavil in the moonlight
7. Tune your ears
8. Attend to the bones
9. Make love
10. Howl often
Be the wolf. The wolf is relentless. Never quits and doesn’t look back.
Do not fear the night. Instead, summon the wolf inside you and welcome the darkness like it is home.
Code of the Wolf:
-Protect your pack
-Show no fear
-Respect the elder
-Teach the young
-Lead your companions
-Survive each day
-Hunt your enemies
-Howl to a new tomorrow
-Explore the unknown
-Adapt to the environment
-Demonstrate no weakness
-Never back down
-And leave your mark
All these quotes made me think deeper. I wanted to live by the motto of a wolf but I needed to be more than that. Even Shakespeare in A Midsummer Nights Dream had a quote that said “though she be but little, she is fierce!” I loved this quote and I always embraced my small height and felt strong and proud of it. But I am also a female. Women sometimes are looked at as weak and submissive but I was not going to even let that get in my way. I was going to become an ALPHA FEMALE.
Further Pinterest research showed me that this alpha female motto was already a thing. So I decided to run with it. But first, what exactly is an alpha female??
Now combine the idea of a wolf with an alpha female and you get a SHE WOLF!
A she wolf in my opinion and in my mind, is an alpha female that doesn’t need to depend on anyone, is strong and confident, can do everything on her own, is fierce and bares her teeth when she needs to. She can defend herself, is a leader, doesn’t quit, is a warrior, can stand alone, keeps her head high even though she has scars and wounds, not afraid, has courage and fulfills her own potential.
There are many Pinterest posts on she wolves and alpha females and so forth, but I wanted to share a few on here because they accurately describe my she wolf motto that I live by.

In the meantime, bare your teeth but act with sweetness. You don’t need a pack, but to run with one makes you all the stronger. Do not depend on others but rather, be strong enough to provide and protect yourself. Remember that you are beautiful but there is a beast inside you that will guide you through the darkness and will howl into the night to ward off anyone or anything that would dare to get in your way.
