Have you ever noticed that when you don’t have a laundry list of things to do you are more at ease and less stressed out? Have you ever noticed that when the house is clean you feel happier when you come home to relax? This is why keeping up is important…
When you generally stay on top of things, they won’t eventually spiral out of control. The pile of clothes you keep adding to on the floor that you keep saying you will eventually get to will start to get so high that it will take up your floor. The laundry basket that is starting to overflow and you have left for so long will take forever to wash because you have put it off so long that you will dread it even more.
But if you keep up daily, or more frequently, then you won’t have that one day when you are stressed to get everything done that could have been slowly taken care of throughout the week. A little of something here and there will take away the giant tasks you will dread to complete.
A clean environment is a fresh start daily. It is a sanctuary of calm and rejuvenation. Do you feel calm if there is stuff all over the floor, dishes piled in the sink, or objects to step around that have piled up? NO.
When there is less to do, there is less to stress about. When you keep up with these cleanliness tasks, you will feel accomplishment on a daily basis. Accomplishments are little victories that keep you proud of yourself and they reflect on your mental happiness. A clean environment allows for a clean mind with less garbage to crowd you out, both physically and mentally. Keeping up is important so as to not bring you down. When you eliminate your physical cleanliness to do list, you can then work on your mental and emotional to do list and bring in happiness in all aspects of your life.
